Mayville Lodge Andalusian Stud

Hi, I'm Debbie Dekker and I'd love to share with you the joys of the wonderful Andalusian horse.  My aim has always been to breed Spanish horses of good size suitable for open performance, and never to sacrifice Andalusian type, conformation or temperament in persuit of this.   I firmly believe that a top class Andalusian is the very best that a horse can be!  

Established in 1977, the stud enjoyed enormous success from the very beginning, and now Mayville Lodge horses have won more than 180 National and State Championships, in hand under saddle and in harness.  They have also been very successful in these field in open competition, winning at National and State Dressage championships and in open competition at Royal Shows.   

I also believe that a good horse is a good colour, and have never tried to breed away or towards any particular colour, only looking at conformation, movement and temperament.   As a result we have bred grey, black, bay, brown and chestnut!

The stud is situated 10 mins from the city of Ipswich, in the South East corner of Queensland, Australia, on 45acres of good grazing country.  Visitors are welcome by appointment.
